Aquilegia canadensis - Columbine
Perennial plant growing up to 2 feet tall. Grows best in light shade to partial sun although adults can tolerate nearly full sun. Grows in medium to dry soils. Showy red flowers grow from arching flower stalks and are visited by Ruby-throated Hummingbirds and bumblebees for nectar. Smaller bees will visit the flowers to gather pollen. Blooms April to June.
