Liatris punctata - Dotted Blazing Star
Perennial growing up to 2 feet tall. Grows in full sun and medium to dry soils. Has a long taproot that makes it the most drought tolerant species in this genus. Column of purple flowers attracts mostly long-tongued bees, butterflies, and skippers. Blooms July to September.
