Blephilia hirsuta - Hairy Wood Mint
Perennial growing up to 3 feet tall. Grows in partial sun to light shade and medium to medium wet soils. White to pale purple flowers occur in distinct whorls along stem. Flowers attract a wide range of pollinators and in particular a wide range of bee species. Pollinators mostly visit flowers for nectar although some gather pollen. Blooms June to September.
