Coreopsis lanceolata - Lanceleaf Coreopsis
Low-growing perennial growing up to 2 feet tall. Often forms clumps of foliage and persists through reseeding. Grows in full sun to part shade and dry to medium soils. Well-drained soils are best for this plant as crown rot can occur when site doesn’t drain. Grows well in nutrient poor soils and tolerates a range of soil conditions. Yellow flowers are visited by a variety of bees, butterflies, skippers, day-flying moths and beetles to gather nectar and pollen. Blooms from May to August.
