The pink, fragrant flowers attract long-tongued bees, butterflies, skippers, and hummingbirds. The flat petals act as a landing spot for butterflies. Spreads via rhizomes to form clumps in the garden. Blooms from April to May. Species: Phlox pilosa Phlox family: Polemoniaceae
