Oenothera pilosella - Prairie Sundrops
Perennial growing up to 2 feet tall. Grows in full sun and medium to wet soils. This is a day-flowering member of the evening primrose family. The yellow flowers are visited by a variety of long-tongued bees, butterflies, and skippers. Although it grows best in slightly wetter sites, it can tolerate some drought. Blooms from May to July.
