Baptisia alba - White Wild Indigo
Perennial plant growing up to 5 feet tall. Grows in full sun and medium to slightly dry soils. The white flowers occur in upright racemes and attract bumblebees to their nectar. May require a couple of years to reach blooming size, but not bothered by mammalian herbivores. Growth habit provides structure to a planting, and flowers, foliage, and seed pods provide visual interest throughout much of the year. Tolerates a wide range of soil types and conditions. Blooms May to June.
